Dressage exercises for variety

I need some tips on good dressage exercises, it is so easy to end up doing the same thing every time.

Here are two exercises you can try to bring in more variety:

1: Ride three loops around cones along the short sides. Down the long sides, add transitions and changes of tempo. Focus on sitting centrally over the horse through the loops and keeping the outside of the horse with you through the turns. Make it harder by riding the loops with both reins in one hand.

2: Turn from one corner to the centre line (X) and ride a 10m circle there, back towards the track. Again, work on sitting centrally over the horse and keeping the outside with you. Notice whether the horse feels the same to turn on both reins, and whether it tracks correctly on the bent line. Around the rest of the school, add changes of tempo and transitions.
