Feeling the correct canter lead

How do you tell if you're on the right canter lead? I find it really hard to see or feel whether I'm on the correct lead and I need a mirror so I can check, but it gets really tiring having to look in a mirror the whole time every time I canter. And there are no mirrors in the school or outdoors 🙈 So I'd love some help with seeing and feeling that I'm on the correct lead! Grateful for any answer :)

In time it comes down to learning to feel it through the movement of your hip. On the right lead, the movement is larger in your right hip. Many riders also glance down at the shoulders to see which foreleg swings further forward. If you see the right foreleg, the horse is on the right lead, and vice versa.
