Poor seat in canter
I often find it really hard to sit down in the canter when I ride. On some horses I sit really well and on others not so much. I also have a problem with my lower leg sliding forward. Have you got any tips on any of that? Please write!

Working on your seat on the lunge is often brilliant. It lets you focus on yourself while someone else takes charge of steering the horse and can talk you through it at the same time. In general, if sitting to the canter is difficult, the key thing to remember is that your hip needs to follow the canter movement in a circular motion, and that you relax through your legs. It is common to hold on by gripping with the legs around the saddle, but think instead of keeping the legs relaxed. 🌸
