Keeping your lower legs still

Tips on how to keep your lower legs still. How do you get your legs to stay more still when you ride and stop them sliding back?
Answers from HayHay's experts

Work on your two-point and three-point position. Try to find a balance point with your foot under your hip. If you first find this in walk with a good, active stride, it can be easier to find again in trot and canter, and in rising trot too. A swinging lower leg often comes down to not having found a balance point right over the middle of the horse 🐴
