Tips for sitting to the trot?
I find it really hard to sit to the trot, have you got any good tips to help me?

Finding a balanced, supple seat in the sitting trot is not easy and needs time to develop. Practise on the lunge with someone lungeing you if you can. The key is to stay supple through the hips, relax through the legs and avoid gripping with your knees. Gripping on simply drives the horse forward and asks for more speed. You also bounce more when you try to hold on by clamping with your legs, even though it feels as though it is keeping you in place.
Riding without stirrup leathers is another good balance exercise. Practice makes perfect. Good luck!
