When can you start jumping with a new horse?

When can you start jumping? I have a horse on a feed-lease and I'm wondering how long after it moves in I can start jumping? (Around 20cm or so) I really have no idea.

It depends entirely on how well the horse settles into its new home and how experienced it already is over fences. If it feels secure and has jumped a lot before, there should be no problem starting fairly soon. Even so, I would focus mainly on building the relationship and a sense of security in those early weeks, however tempting the fences are 😊
