Tips for improving your seat
Off-horse training can definitely help you build the strength to last a whole session, but above all I would recommend working with a trainer who is genuinely good on the seat and seat aids.
A few things you can always check are:
1. Are you sitting centrally over the horse, or do you "drop" your waist to one side? Asking someone to film you regularly is a good way to spot this.
2. Are you gripping with your legs, or can you relax them? Many riders clamp their knees around the saddle, but think about sitting in a relaxed way and following the horse's movement.
3. Where are you looking? If your eyes are on your hands, you may have lost the position in your upper back and let your shoulders come forward with it ๐
Good luck!
