How do I clip my horse, who easily gets stiff in the back and hindquarters?
I have an Icelandic horse who needs clipping but I'm not quite sure how. He needs a fleece or stable rug on at night and a turnout rug with a fleece outside when it gets cold, because he easily gets stiff in his back and hindquarters. How should I clip him so he doesn't sweat under the rug? After a ride he gets sweaty under the saddle, the girth and around the jowl.

I would go for a half clip. My own Icelandic is also sensitive over the back and croup, so I keep the coat on there, and on the legs too. I do not clip far in under the belly, so it stays more comfortable for him to lie down in the paddock. There is no rug in the world as effective against cold and wet as a horse's own coat 🤗
