Good off-horse training for riders

I've heard that riders need to train too, and I'd like some tips on how I should train, I mean away from the yard.
Answers from HayHay's experts

My tip is to work on your own posture and symmetry. In the saddle, you need to switch on your postural muscles, the ones that hold you upright and give you a good seat, and you want to be as even left to right as possible, just as the horse does. Sit crooked or fire the wrong muscles and the horse has to compensate, which makes it harder for it to carry you.

Search "postural training" on Google or YouTube and you will find plenty of good work for exactly those postural muscles. 😊
