How do I find the right coach after riding accidents?

Hi there! I'm thinking about starting to train with a coach because I feel I don't have the tools I need for a good seat in the saddle after a few riding accidents and a car accident, but I don't know how to find a good coach or how to put it when I book my first lesson. I've been following a riding school near me on Instagram and feel they could suit me, and I was thinking of taking a private lesson, but how do I phrase it? I don't really know whether I'm a beginner or not, so it's a bit tricky for me 🙊

Hi!

I'm so sorry you have been through accidents both with horses and on the road. I hope you have recovered🐴

Finding a coach or riding instructor to develop your riding and find your way back after the accidents sounds like a wise idea.

It is great that you have a riding school nearby where you could take private lessons. Riding lessons are valuable both on your own horse, if you have one, and on the school's horses. You learn a huge amount from riding different horses. I think you can put it exactly as you have here in your question. Say that you would like to try a private lesson to find the tools for a good seat. The instructor or coach will help you based on what you and your horse need. They rarely need to know very much about you ahead of that first lesson😊

You can also look for private coaches in your area through the Swedish coach directory tranarportalen: tranarportalen.se

Good luck!🍀🦄
