New to Icelandic horses
I'm going to an Icelandic horse camp. The thing is I have 0 experience with Icelandic horses. Is there anything in particular you need to think about when riding and looking after Icelandic horses, or am I just overthinking it?

How lovely, an Icelandic horse đ
I understand that a new breed feels nerve-wracking, but a horse is a horse. You will notice that the gaited riding is a little different, but that is something which takes a long time to learn fully. You do not need to prepare in any special way. You will be given instruction at the camp and learn as you go!
If you would like to read up, there are plenty of good books. Your library may stock the Swedish title "IslandshĂ€sten - skötsel, hĂ€lsa, gĂ„ngarter" (The Icelandic Horse: care, health, gaits), which is a brilliant place to start đđ« The very best of luck!!
