Building rider muscles at the gym

Building rider muscles! I'm about to start doing a bit of extra gym work and I'd like to focus on the muscles you need as a rider, ie lots of upper body. But I need some exercises and machines that would build a bit of extra strength, or others that target rider muscles! Legs are needed too of course! Throw everything you do/have at the gym at me!

For strength, I want to make the case for exercises that work several large muscle groups at once, such as the deadlift, the bench press or chest press, the squat, and chin-ups or the lat pulldown. With these you have covered all the body's larger muscle groups. Performed correctly, they all build good core strength. It is also worth adding a rowing exercise for the back, plus an extra one for the core, such as weighted side rotations on the cable machine, hanging leg raises, or controlled crunches on a pilates ball.
