How should the saddle sit correctly?
I'm going to buy a saddle for my horse and I don't know how it's meant to sit! Help!

Finding a saddle for your horse can be a real jungle. Often the wisest move is to call in a saddle fitter. Getting it right matters enormously. A poorly fitted saddle can make it hard for the horse to move and work correctly, but it can also be uncomfortable or painful, and at worst lead to long-term injury.
It is easy to forget that the saddle also has to suit us riders. A saddle fitter usually brings along a wide range of saddles, so you get the chance to try several. If you can, it is brilliant to have your instructor there too (if you ride regularly with someone) to help you find a saddle that works for your seat and your influence. Good luck!
