Green card (grönt kort): age, requirements and cost?

Where do you get a green card and how do you get it? What do I need to know to get a green card? I'm turning 13, am I allowed to take it? What does it cost? I've read a bit but I don't get it 😅

Hi!

From the year you turn 13 you can take the green card course on your own, or an adult must hold a green card and come along to the competition.

From the year you turn 14 you must have your own green card to compete.

There is more on the age limits here: https://ridsport.se/utbildning/for-ryttare/gront-kort/aldersgranser

Green card courses are run by various clubs in your competition district. To get a green card you need to be able to handle, ride, check over, show in hand and load a horse, among other things.

If you click this link to the Swedish Equestrian Federation you will find more on the rules, what you need to know, how the course works and how to get in touch with the people running green card courses: https://ridsport.se/utbildning/for-ryttare/gront-kort

Hope that answers it! 🤗🐴
