Does linseed oil have the same effect as whole linseed for horses?

Hi! I read that linseed has a good effect on horses, and then it struck me that I have a tub of linseed oil in the tack room that I won a few months ago. So I'm wondering whether it has the same effect as "normal" linseed? ⭐️

Hello! Linseed oil only provides energy. Whole linseed also contains protein and some fibre. The oil is made by pressing it out of the seeds. It can be a useful addition for horses that tend to lose condition. So the effect is slightly different.
