Two-phase judging A:0/A:0 - what does it mean?

What does this judging mean? E.g. if you are entered in 110 two phases A:0/A:0, do you jump the 110 course twice or once? How many starts/classes?

Hi!

🐎 In two-phase judging marked A:0/A:0 (a Swedish Riding Federation judging code; the UK equivalent is the Two Phase class, but the A:0/A:0 notation is not used by British Showjumping), you ride phase 1 first (the main round).

🐎 If you go clear in phase 1, you carry straight on into phase 2 (the jump-off), which decides who is the most fault-free and the fastest.

🐎 There are usually a few more fences in the first part, phase 1, than in phase 2. Sometimes the same fences are used, but the order changes. So you do not ride exactly the same course twice.

🐎 The number of starts depends on whether the organiser has set a cap, and on how many have entered.

Good luck! πŸ¦„
