Getting over a fear of jumping

How do you get over a fear of jumping?
Answers from HayHay's experts

Try shifting how you relate to the fear. Instead of thinking you need to get over it or get rid of it, see what happens if you decide you want to practise jumping with your fear. We often think we have to be rid of difficult feelings before we can do what we want. The truth is that we can do what we want despite, and alongside, our feelings. As we grow less afraid of our fear, it holds less power over us and gradually becomes smaller and smaller. You do not have to confront the fear with whatever scares you most. Challenge yourself step by step instead. Start with poles on the ground and raise the height gradually 💫
