Jumping nerves before a competition

I'm a bit scared of jumping right now and I'm wondering how I can get rid of it quickly. My pony is really keen and happy in front of a fence and I find it a bit unpleasant, especially the heights. About a month ago I dared to jump 110, and now I can manage maybe 40-50 cm at most. A bit of a shame it's happening now because I'm competing at a low D class in two weeks.
Answers from HayHay's experts

Putting pressure on yourself and telling yourself you have to "get rid of" the fear, or push it away, often makes the fear grow and hold you back even more. Accept the fear and let it be there. We can still do what we want to do despite the fear, alongside it. That is when it gradually fades. Challenge the fear in small steps and rebuild trust in your own ability.

Good luck! 💫
